Push App — Case Study
Push App is a fast and easy spending tracker for travel groups,
designed by Anton Mironov. The product helps friends and travelers
record shared expenses, understand who owes what, and reduce the
number of bank transactions needed to settle up.
Role
Designer, manager, and SwiftUI developer. Own product, built from scratch.
User problems and market research
Problems were validated through market research, surveys, and
interviews with potential and current Telegram bot users: tracking
and storing group expenses, too many bank transfers, unclear payment
responsibilities, and multiple currencies. Existing tools like
Splitwise or Google Sheets were used only because there were no
simpler alternatives with a flexible calculator and a cleaner
interface.
Hypothesis testing — Telegram bot MVP
Before shipping the full app, a Telegram bot tested demand and
identified the most painful scenarios, involving more than 100
active users of similar services. Core features: record expenses,
split group expenses, store transaction history.
The app
- Scan receipts and allocate expenses to group members.
- Expense history inside shared groups.
- Simple calculator for multi-currency groups.
-
Core expense entry flow optimized to 2–3 actions, reducing task
completion time by approximately 50%.
- Groups, debt views, invite flows, and notifications with clear information architecture.
